The Eye Clinic Surgicenter has partnered with two outstanding retinal consultants to provide the most progressive retinal care possible for our patients. Dr. David Faber and Dr. Mitchell Goff can treat the full range of retinal and macular diseases including:

David W. Faber, M.D.
Dr. Faber was born and raised in California. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brigham Young University with a degree in Microbiology and earned his M.D. from the University of California, San Diego.
Following completion of his medical internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona he did his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Faber completed a combined fellowship at the Charles Retina Institute in Memphis, Tennessee specializing in Vitreoretinal Surgery and in Ocular Oncology at the University of Tennessee.
Dr. Faber obtained his board certification and began practice in Salt Lake City at Rocky Mountain Retina Consultants. Dr. Faber is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American Society of Retinal Specialists and a member of both the Utah Medical Association and the Utah Ophthalmology Society. He has extensive training in the evaluation and treatment of ocular tumors.
He has also been involved in various research projects including the study of diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration and has published several articles in medical and scientific journals. Dr. Faber has participated in numerous presentations and lectures to other healthcare professionals regarding the treatment of retinal diseases and is actively involved in the robust clinical research endeavors ongoing at Rocky Mountain Retina Consultants.
Dr. Mitchell Goff
Dr. Goff was born and raised in Ogden, Utah. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Weber State University with a degree in Business Administration and Finance and went on to earn his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Dr. Goff served as an Officer in the United States Army where he completed his medical internship and ophthalmology residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He subsequently completed his fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, California. After obtaining his board certification, he returned to San Antonio where he trained military and civilian ophthalmology residents as a University of Texas Health Science Center Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology.
After completing his military obligation, Dr. Goff moved back to Utah and joined Rocky Mountain Retina Consultants.
He is a member of the American Board of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, the Utah Medical Association, the Utah Ophthalmology Association and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Involved in various research projects, he has published scientific articles and textbook chapters on diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and ocular trauma.
Dr. Goff has lectured and participated in numerous presentations to other healthcare professionals, including an internationally attended, annual ophthalmology review course for which he served as director. He is also actively involved in the ongoing clinical research efforts at Rocky Mountain Retina Consultants.
