This is allergy season and with that comes all kinds of allergy symptoms. Cooler weather is also around the corner and with that comes drier air in our homes due to our heaters. If you suffer from seasonal allergies or dry eyes, contact our doctors to find out which drops will work best for you. This is more than just a comfort issue. The risk of infection increases when the tear film is deficient. Please tell our doctors if you are experiencing itchy or burning or watering eyes. They will prescribe a treatment program that will not only make you more comfortable, but healthier too.

If you are considering cataract surgery, please check out the many options now available. Cataract surgery no longer means thick glasses and long recovery times. Ever wonder why we always check the pressure in your eye when you come for an exam? The pressure inside your eye is maintained by a proper balance between the production of fluid inside the eye and the drainage of that fluid out of the eye. When one of these processes is out of balance, the pressure inside the eye can fluctuate and cause damage to the optic nerve in the back of the eye. This can lead to loss of vision—usually unnoticed at first. Checking the pressure in your eye is an important part of a complete eye examination and allows your doctor to better monitor your eye health.
