It’s hard to believe that the new year is already here! This is the time of year we all review our lives and make resolutions we may or may not keep as the year progresses. We at The Eye Clinic/Surgicenter hope that your resolutions will include keeping a healthy lifestyle. Your vision and your lifestyle is our passion and we know that healthy eating habits and lifestyles have a healthy impact on your vision. In general, you should each lots of green, leafy vegetables as well as yellow/orange vegetables, two servings of fish per week, and some nuts. With winter weather comes drier air in our homes due to our heaters. If you suffer from seasonal allergies or dry eyes, contact our doctors to find out which drops will work best for you. This is more than just a comfort issue. The risk of infection increases when the tear film is deficient. Please tell our doctors if you are experiencing itchy or burning or watering eyes. They will prescribe a treatment program that will not only make you more comfortable, but healthier too.

We are very proud of our staff this year as they are getting more involved in community service activities. We had a couple of them help with Flakes Giving helping give over 1500 families in Billings Thanksgiving meals. Then our staff put together 50 stockings of goodies for some troops stationed in Afghanistan. To top it off for the year, we at The Eye Clinic Surgicenter adopted a family of 5 to help with St. Vincent Hospital’s Spirit of Giving. What a feeling to help others, this will be something that we will be continuing throughout 2010 as our clinics New Year’s Resolution.
