Fall is in the air again and the leaves are changing color. Please remember to wear protective eyewear when cleaning gutters and doing all those fall cleanup chores. Here’s the news at The Eye Clinic:

October is World Blindness Awareness month. Vision is our passion here at The Eye Clinic—that includes taking medical care to other countries where it is not readily available. Both Dr. LaGreca and Dr. Erpenbach have traveled to Mexico on medical missions. Dr. Erpenbach traveled to very rural villages in southern Mexico to do eye exams and distribute glasses provided by the Lions Club International. Dr. LaGreca took all the equipment and supplies necessary to do cataract surgery and worked to help those with cataracts get the care they might not otherwise have received. Check out our Clinic scrapbook for pictures and ask the doctors about some of their experiences in Mexico. Helping people keep their vision is truly a passion for them.

With cooler weather comes drier air in our homes due to our heaters. If you suffer from seasonal allergies or dry eyes, contact our doctors to find out which drops will work best for you. This is more than just a comfort issue. The risk of infection increases when the tear film is deficient. Please tell our doctors if you are experiencing itchy or burning or watering eyes.
